Overview
On this itinerary you fly straight from Arusha to the Serengeti, taking in the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti's wildlife and birdlife while avoiding the several-hour road transfer that a driving safari would require.
Flying to your safari destinations leaves more time for game drives and less for covering ground, a practical choice if your schedule is tighter than a full overland circuit allows.
Game viewing is strong and reliable in both parks. The Ngorongoro Crater holds dense, contained wildlife, while the Serengeti's vast plains are widely considered among the best safari destinations anywhere in the world.

Day by Day (8 days)
Our representative welcomes you at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfers you to your Arusha hotel for the night. A full briefing on the days ahead is given.
A short flight takes you from Arusha to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, so the road transfer is skipped completely. You take an afternoon game drive on the crater rim and turn in early before the descent to the crater floor.
The whole day goes to descending into and exploring the crater floor, one of the most concentrated wildlife-viewing areas in Africa, where you have a real chance at all of the Big Five.
A short flight takes you from Ngorongoro to the Serengeti, landing in time for an afternoon game drive. You spend the night in the central Serengeti.
Spend a full day on game drives in the Serengeti's central Seronera area, taking in the resident wildlife and, depending on the season, the migrating herds.
Another day is spent exploring other areas of the Serengeti, with game drives in the morning and afternoon over ground that was not covered the day before.
One last full day of game drives in the Serengeti, with the freedom to go back to an area that produced a particularly good sighting earlier in your stay.
A morning flight returns you to Arusha, where you connect to Kilimanjaro International Airport for the flight onward.
