Heading home soon after descending Kilimanjaro? With only a few spare days before an international flight, you can add this 3-day camping safari, a short and unhurried loop through Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater.
Elephant herds and ancient baobabs define Tarangire, particularly beside the Tarangire River during the drier months. At Ngorongoro, a single, contained caldera packs in some of the densest wildlife viewing found anywhere in Tanzania.

Day by Day (3 days)
: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Have an early breakfast, then drive for 2 hours to Tarangire National Park, where your safari with your expert guide begins.
Tarangire National Park is likely one of the least visited game parks in northern Tanzania and keeps a real feel of undiscovered Africa, especially in the south of the park. It is only two hours' drive from Arusha. The park lies a short way southeast of Lake Manyara and covers about 2,850 square kilometers. It takes its name from the Tarangire River, which flows through it. The swamps, green all year round, attract 550 bird varieties, the largest number of species in a single habitat anywhere in the world, while on drier ground you can find the Kori bustard, the heaviest flying bird.
In the late afternoon, continue to your camp for dinner and the night.
