Many first-time safari planners overlook the green season, roughly November through May, mostly because it isn't the dry-season peak that everyone defaults to. Give it a fair look before ruling it out. Price is the most obvious advantage. Green-season rates typically run 20 to 40% lower than peak dry-season pricing, a meaningful saving if your budget has room to flex. Landscape photographers gain too: dramatic storm-light skies and lush, saturated green plains are things the dry months simply don't offer. This is a different Serengeti, arguably more visually striking than the dusty gold tones in most photos. The honest trade-off: in the heaviest rains, some remote roads can be hard to pass. Check access with us directly for the route you have in mind rather than assuming every corner of the park can be reached equally well all year. Ask us about current green-season conditions and pricing for your travel dates.
